PeerEnabler Demonstrates Exceptional Performance During the MSBlast Virus Surge
Stockholm, August 21, 2003 — Joltid announced today that its PeerEnabler™ peer-to-peer distribution platform successfully handled a dramatic increase in antivirus update demand during the widespread MSBlast virus outbreak.
During the week leading up to August 16, the BullGuard P2P antivirus solution leveraged PeerEnabler technology to distribute antivirus definition updates quickly, securely, and reliably, even as traditional update servers around the world experienced significant congestion and heavy traffic loads.
PeerEnabler’s intelligent peer-to-peer delivery architecture enabled the network to scale automatically as demand increased. Unlike traditional server-based delivery systems that slow down under heavy usage, PeerEnabler becomes stronger and more efficient as more users participate in the distribution process.

Even during the peak of the MSBlast virus scare, the BullGuard P2P update network continued operating smoothly without delays or overloaded infrastructure.
