Installation Steps

  1. Download P2PSetup.exe and save it to an easily accessible location.
  2. Double-click P2PSetup.exe to start the installation process.
  3. Accept the license agreement.
  4. Complete the installation.

P2P Networking for Linux

Download: P2PNetworking_linux.tgz

Installation Steps

  1. Download and save the appropriate Linux version of P2PNetworking.
  2. Extract the contents of the archive.
  3. Open and review the included README.txt file.
  4. Start P2PNetworking using the following command:
 
P2PNetworking -cachedir /your/cache/dir -cachesize 10240

P2P Networking for FreeBSD

Download: P2PNetworking_freebsd.tgz

Installation Steps

  1. Download and save the appropriate FreeBSD version of P2PNetworking.
  2. Extract the contents of the archive.
  3. Read the included README.txt file for setup details.
  4. Launch P2PNetworking with the required cache configuration:
 
P2PNetworking -cachedir /your/cache/directory -cachesize 10240

Software Integration Demo – Joltid Screensaver

To demonstrate how PeerEnabler can be integrated into real applications, a sample screensaver has been developed using P2P Networking.

This screensaver downloads images dynamically from the PeerEnabler P2P Network. As a result, the application itself remains small in size while still displaying high-quality images that are significantly larger than the installed package.
